How the service works and which number to call
In case of an emergency, please call the toll-free number 800.83.59.29, which is open seven days a week from 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM. A mainland veterinarian will answer the line (there will be approximately 15 in total, who will rotate from time to time) and will assess the situation, which you describe. If the animal's medical condition requires urgent intervention, you will be put in touch with the veterinarian on duty that night on Elba. Otherwise, you will be given advice on how to manage the situation and, if necessary, what medications to give your dog or cat.
